How the hell do you do it?

I've seen DJ El Chino on his blog post clips of select songs from albums he recommends. see: solarlatinclub.blogspot.com/

how is that done. I'm not referring to the the mixpod thing to the right, but the simple little embedded flash player under the album art. I have some unnamed songs that I'd want to cut down to 30 seconds, and post them on the blog so that I can then ask for the title in "Name That Tune" section

indieball.com is another example, but I don't want to give the right to download the clips

it's a pain in the ass on blogger

edit: sorry just noticed its on blogger. In which case im not sure. you might be limited to what can actually be done.

So I figured it out.

you can do this by

1. posting your audio file on a server, for instance I use filefreak
2. then embedding a piece of code that has the url to the file you uploaded, and also will display the flash player. This can be a just a copy and paste into any post and it'll work. for example:

Google's flash player:<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.google.com/reader/ui/3247397568-audio-player.swf?audioUrl=MP3FILEURL" width="400" height="27" allowscriptaccess="never" quality="best" bgcolor="#ffffff" wmode="window" flashvars="playerMode=embedded"/></embed>

You should probably look for a different solution as point 1 would put you in a lot of copyright trouble if the proper folks were to come across your site.
